Each category has its own criteria that exceed the standards set within the moving industry and by Atlas Van Lines.

In order to be recognized for Alexander’s Customer Service Award, drivers must earn an average customer service rating of 5 out of 5 for the entire calendar year and maintain a claims ratio per 10,000 pounds hauled that is better than or equal to Alexander’s overall fleet ratio.

The Claims Award requires that drivers must have a total annual claim amount not exceeding $50.00 per 10,000 pounds hauled and maintain a customer satisfaction rating equal or higher than Alexander’s average customer rating.

In order to be recognized as one of the Most Valuable Professional Van Operators, drivers contracted with Alexander’s must maintain good standing with Atlas’ safety department for an entire year with no suspensions and under 150 safety points. This award is divided into two categories to recognize Alexander’s long-distance and local drivers with minimum line haul and minimum tonnage requirements in addition to customer service and claims requirements.

Among many other prizes, this year’s MVPVO winners will be in the running for a new trailer while the Alexander’s drivers earning the Customer Service Award and Claims Award will receive an additional percentage of the Atlas hauling commission that they earn.

Alexander’s most prestigious driver award, the Most Valued Professional Van Operator, was presented to Travis Perala, a shorthaul driver, and Joel Barber, a long-haul driver.
