Tustin, CA—Alexander's Mobility Services is proud to announce the winner of the 2012 Milton Maxwell Hill Spirit Award.
Each year, at the end of the busy summer season Alexander’s Mobility Services recognizes one of the many unsung heroes within the company who do “Whatever It Takes” each and every day by presenting them with the Milton Maxwell Hill Spirit award. First awarded in 1995, the Milton Maxwell Hill Spirit award was created to recognize and reward the many dedicated Alexander’s employees who possess the passion, integrity, and pride that Milt Hill possessed and encouraged within Alexander’s.
With nominations starting in August, Alexander’s employees are encouraged to nominate the people within the company that truly goes above and beyond each and every day. Finalists are then selected from each office as well as a nominated driver for employees to select the most deserving finalist. Each year, Alexander’s recognizes the Milton Maxwell Hill Spirit Award winner at the annual Atlas Van Lines Convention.
This year, Beverly Peabody, Corporate Vice President of Sales and Marketing was nominated and selected by her colleagues for the 2012 Milton Maxwell Hill Spirit Award. “To be considered by those you work with to have the same passion and attitude as the former (Milton Maxwell Hill Spirit Award) winners completely humbles me.” Beverly commented.
Beverly has worked in the Tustin, California, office for thirteen years holding a number of positions within the sales department, including corporate level managerial positions. Currently, Beverly oversees the entire Sales and Marketing department including the Sales team where she is known for her determination, enthusiasm, and demonstrative leadership style. Beverly is also an active member of the Worldwide ERC, the Southern California Relocation Council, and the California Moving and Storage Association. She also maintains CRP (Certified Relocation Professional) and GMS (Global Mobility Specialist) certifications, often providing account management for some of Alexander’s most important clients.
Some of the glowing accolades Beverly’s coworkers expressed when they cast their votes:
- “She compels you to be better than you are, or think you can be.”
- “She embodies all the qualities and characteristics of those we associate with (this) award—integrity, passion, drive, leadership.”
- “Whatever it Takes is in her soul.”
- “She’s the bomb! Relentless in her efforts to make things happen.”
- “Total commitment to excellence and goes above and beyond the call of duty.”
First presented to Alexander’s former president and owner, Milt Hill, this annual award has highlighted the contributions of many of the people who have made Alexander’s the company it is today; including: Don Hill, Ed Pentridge (Alexander’s former VP of Operations), Mike Mattingly, Dick May (Alexander’s former Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing), Jody May, Bob Pound, Mike Shaughnessy, Jim May, Kathy Rakosky, Karl Karlson, Tommy Marsh, Dave Cook, Kevin Hanvey, Joel Barber, Steve DeLane, and Krista Bufe.
