Palm Springs, CA.— This October, members of the Alexander’s sales and management team joined together to stuff 50 My Stuff Bags with toys, books, school supplies, hand-made blankets, stuffed animals, and personal hygiene products in order to lend a hand to this worthwhile foundation. After the event was over, Alexander’s was also able to donate additional toys, books and school supplies to help stuff future My Stuff Bags. While the Alexander’s team had fun stuffing the bags and crafting the blankets, they appreciated the opportunity to positively impact the lives of kids across the country.
Each year, almost 300,000 children enter into the foster care system after being rescued from abuse, neglect, or outright abandonment. Many of these children are removed from their homes so quickly that they are left with little more than the clothes on their backs as they enter into the foster care system.
Since 1998, The My Stuff Bags Foundation has provided countless children in over 1,400 agencies across the United States with many of the items that can bring a child comfort during such a chaotic time. The My Stuff Bags Foundation provides child welfare agencies with the basic childhood necessities beyond food and shelter that they often cannot afford to provide. Each My Stuff duffle bag comes stuffed with toys, personal hygiene products, books, and hand-made blankets in order to give the children who receive them a small sense of comfort to help them cope with the drastic changes going on in their lives.
Alexander’s sincerely thanks the My Stuff Foundation for the opportunity to lend a hand.
